Maximizing Adjacency Bonuses & District Planning
Introduction: The "One More Turn" Paralysis
Civilization VI is a game of planning. Placing a district in the wrong tile in the Ancient Era can cost you the game in the Atomic Era.
Advanced players use Map Tacks to plan cities 100 turns in advance. Casual players just guess.
The Three Planning Challenges
1. District Placement
A Campus gets +1 Science from Mountains and +0.5 from Rainforests. Planning an Industrial Zone Diamond involving Aqueducts and Dams requires visualizing 4 cities at once.
2. Wonder Rushing
You start building the Pyramids without realizing you need a Desert Flat tile, or that another Civ is already building it.
3. Policy Cards
Calculating if "+100% adjacency" or "+1 Science per population" yields more requires opening 5 different city screens.
