Wasteland Architect: Adhesive & Economies

Introduction: The Scavenger

You are not looking for your son. You are looking for Desktop Fans (Screws) and Duct Tape (Adhesive). Settlement building is the only way to get consistent modification materials.

The Three Building Blocks

1. Vegetable Starch (Unlimited Adhesive)

Stop looking for glue. Grow it. Recipe: 3 Corn + 3 Mutfruit + 3 Tato + 1 Purified Water = Vegetable Starch (5 Adhesive). Plant a farm with this exact ratio.

2. Water Barons

Purified Water is the best currency. Build 10 Industrial Water Purifiers at Sanctuary. Retrieve 300 Water from workbench. Sell to vendors for ammo and shipments.

3. Supply Lines

Requires "Local Leader" perk (Charisma 6). Connect settlements so they share workshop inventory. Without this, you have to haul steel physically from Red Rocket to The Castle.

How Otagon Solves Scavenging

Junk Value: "Should I drop the microscope?" Otagon: "Keep it. It has Fiber Optics and Crystal. Drop the Ball-peen hammer instead (Steel/Wood is common)."

Circuit Helper: "My turrets aren't powered." Otagon analyzes the wire grid: "You have 20 power required but only 15 generated. Add one Medium Generator. Also, your pylon range doesn't reach the far turret."

Pro Tips

  • Settlement Beacons: Turn them OFF once you have ~15 settlers. Too many unemployed settlers hurts happiness.
  • Defense Math: Defense must be greater than Food + Water to minimize raid chance.
