Introduction: The Bloat
You lose because your deck is too big. You have 35 cards. Your "Limit Break" (Double Strength) is buried at the bottom. You draw 5 Strikes. You die.
The Three Deck Building Pillars
1. Frontload vs Scaling
Act 1: You need direct damage (Ball Lightning, Carnage) to kill Gremlin Nob. Act 3: You need scaling (Demon Form, Poison, Focus/Orbs) to kill the boss. Transitioning is the skill.
2. Removal
Removing a Strike is often better than adding a Rare card. Consistency is king. A 15-card deck plays its best cards every 3 turns.
3. Relic Synergy
Dead Branch + Corruption (Ironclad). Snecko Eye + High Cost Cards. Identify the "Win Condition" relic and pivot your entire run around it.
How Otagon Helps You Ascend
Card Pick Assistant: "Limit Break or Inflame?" Otagon: "You have no strength generation yet. Limit Break does nothing. Take Inflame."
Pathing: "Go for the Elite?" Otagon analyzes HP: "You have 12 HP. Burning Elite. You will die. Take the hallway fight."
Pro Tips
- Potions: Use them. Don't save them for the "next run." If an Elite fight looks bad, throw the fire potion.
- Neow's Blessing: "Boss Relic Swap" is high risk, high reward. Fun for variety, bad for win streaks.
