Conquering Fatalis: The Ultimate Hunt
Introduction: The Legend Returns
Fatalis requires perfection. 30 Minutes. 66k HP (Solo). One-shot attacks. This isn't just a hunt; it's a DPS check, a gear check, and a skill check rolled into one.
The Three Hunt-Ending Mechanics
1. The Head Break (Mandatory)
In Phase 3, Fatalis enters "Blue Fire Mode." His fire attacks become one-shots. Solution: Break his head once to weaken the fire. Break it twice for a guaranteed Evil Eye drop.
2. The Cone Breath
He targets a player and spews a massive range cone of fire. If you are far away, you die. Positioning: Always stay near his crotch/chest. Bait the cone, then punish the head.
3. The 30-Minute Timer
You cannot play passively. You need consistent aggression.
How Otagon Prepares Your Hunt
Build Checklist: Snapshot your decorations. Otagon: "You are missing Heavy Artillery 2. This is mandatory for the Roaming Ballista knockdown. Swap out Defense Boost."
Food Skills: "What to eat for?" Otagon: "Felyne Moxie (prevents one cart) or Felyne Safeguard (extra cart)."
The Strategy: "The Cannon Opener"
- Ghillie Mantle: Fly in invisible.
- Cannon Setup: Load the cannons. Aim them.
- Fire: With Heavy Artillery 2, this deals massive damage and guarantees a knockdown immediately.
- Wall Bang: While he is down, clutch claw and wall bang him for head damage.
Pro Tips
- Smoke Bombs: Use them on the Roaming Ballista. fatalis will lose sight of you and land, letting you shoot his chest in peace.
- Dragon Pods: Hitting him with 2 Dragon Pods flinches him. Save these to interrupt his biggest attacks.
